The most wonderful time of the year is here!! So why wait? Let’s begin the fun by decorating the Christmas tree. A Christmas tree without ornaments is like a cake without icing. Without much of wait, Let us show you how to make some simple paper Christmas Ornaments.
Here is a glimpse of the Christmas Ornament.
Things required to make paper Christmas Ornaments are:
- A4 size Origami paper or Cardstock paper
- Scissors
- double-sided tape or glue
- ruler
- pencil
- scoring tool or an old pen that doesn’t write
There are 3 simple steps for making this paper Christmas Ornaments.
CUT <=> SCORE & FOLD <=> TAPE
STEP 1 – CUT
You can start by downloading the below template and cutting out the parts. Or you can use the measurements provided in the image to create one of your own.
STEP 2 – SCORE and FOLD
Score and Fold the semi-circles that you see in the template. They are indicated in dotted lines. Note: You shouldn’t cut the semi-circle.
STEP 3 – TAPE
Once the scoring and folding is complete, we have to tape them together. You will notice a mark made in the template at the longer edge. This is the section where we have to tape. So, the shorter edge should be taped over the longer edge as shown below :
Repeat the same for another part of the template. Now, you will have 2 circles ready. Place these 2 circles one inside the other. Place them in a way that the taped section must be hidden. And, see to it that the curves of the scored semi-circle must be visible. Refer the image below :
Now take the 3rd part of the template and pass it through both these circles as shown below :
Once the final part is through, tape them together like we did earlier. Now, Check for all scored semi-circles.
Tuck in all the circles as shown below :
Paper Christmas Ornaments is now ready. These Paper Christmas Ornaments are 7.5 cm in height. It is big enough to fit in your hand. The right size to hang on the Christmas tree.
